PETITION PROCESS

 

TRANSFER CREDIT

FOR MAJOR AND MINOR REQUIREMENTS

 

 

Courses taken at other institutions may be applied toward the major and minor by petition only. Completed petitions should be submitted to the Undergraduate Student Affairs Advisor, and must be accompanied by supporting materials (syllabi, course descriptions, lists of texts used in the courses, etc.). Students are required to submit one petition per transfer course.

 

It is important to note that eight of the twelve upper-division courses in the major must be taken in the Department of Philosophy at UCSD.

 

Note: All courses applied towards the major and minor must be taken for letter grades (C- or better).

 

Please be sure that all official transcripts from other institutions have been sent to the UCSD Admissions Office for evaluation.

at all College Academic Advising Offices, and in the Philosophy Department
