Objectivity

This seminar is aimed specifically at both philosophy and Science Studies students. We will cover three kinds of readings, from:

1. Daston and galison's new book, Objectivity
2. Hasok Chang's relatively new book, Inventing Temperature.
3. A collection of readings on dissent in science

Readings and seminars for the last topic will be integrated with the upcoming (early <arch) joint UCSD/LSE workshop on Dissent in Science; the workshop will be an integral part of the course.
